I can't believe how quickly the week passed. Whew, the kidlet and I survived the first week of high school. Getting ready for Book Blogger Appreciation Week has made for a very busy and interesting week. I am really excited about having interviewed Lorin from Arch Thinking. Come back on Tuesday to learn more about this young reader and architect.
Now on to life at Color Online. We received some goodies in the mail. Check out New Crayons, our new books feature on Sunday. This past Monday, Claudia educated a few us about graphic novels. Check out her response to a critic's review about a new graphic novel about Hurricane Katrina.
On Tuesday, Allison reviewed Does My Head Look Big In This? and I published our current CORA Diversity Roll Call assignment. For this assignment, I'm asking participants to discuss some of their favorite short story collections featuring POC or written by POC authors. Join us. Thanks to Hatchett Books, we're hosting a giveaway for Serena Williams', On The Line.
Wednesday ushered in a review of Kinky Gazpacho courtesy of Gaby.
Thursday, Rhapsody chimed in with another correct answer to our Color Online quiz. Check for new quizzes every Thursday and Saturday. This week, I launched another new feature, Color Me Brown Links. Every week, we'll provide links to reviews from bloggers around the blogosphere featuring POC characters. Tashi took us back to school.
Friday, we rounded out the week with Poetry Friday. Featured poet is Sonia Sanchez. Today I launched our BBAW Giveaway. Throw your name in the hat. Drawing on Thursday. I didn't get much reading in but I have high hopes for this coming week. I'll be blog hopping and reading.
Happy reading!
