What Do I Read Next: The Other Side of Paradise

The Other Side of Paradise
Staceyann Chin
Scribner Books
2009

Publisher's Comments
No one knew Staceyann's mother was pregnant until a dangerously small baby was born on the floor of her grandmother's house in Lottery, Jamaica, on Christmas Day. Staceyann's mother did not want her, and her father was not present. No one, except her grandmother, thought Staceyann would survive.

Hi Amanda,

I just asked my library to order it. They said no problem.

I read this the week it came out and loved it. I even got her to autograph it at one of her book signings. Good stuff. It's amazing how candid she is about her life. I'd be nervous to let it all out the bag.
