A Lot to Look Forward to - 2012 Releases by Female Authors of Color

Below is a list of some 2012 releases by female authors of color. I was contemplating doing this list in November but kept putting it off because I knew it would be a lot of work. I finally decided to do it anyway. There are some really great novels by female authors of color coming out this year and I would love to see this list grow. So if you know of any more do share.

I wouldn't expect anyone to click on all of the titles but I hope that anyone reading this will be curious about at least one or at best three of the titles.

What a lot of lovely looking books! I'm adding The Black Isle to my list for sure, but lots of the others are tempting as well.

Carleen - I am psyched about so many of these. I recently finished The World We Found by Umrigar and really enjoyed it.

Charlotte - I love the cover for Black Isle and that the story has ghosts. It also sounds like it may have some teen crossover appeal.

I've already written down three of these.
Thank you, Doret!

FYI, the link for the Bernice McFadden book goes to the Thrity Umrigar book on Amazon.

Thank you for this resource. I found a few here that intrigue me and a few from authors I've enjoyed and I didn't know they had new books coming out.

Towardinfinity - I finally fixed the McFadden link thanks so much for letting me know. And very happy to hear you were able to find a few books.

This list is so exciting!! Ironically Tayari's Silver Sparrow jump started my 2012 reading and lead to the recently finished Passing Love by Luckett. I look forward to delving into this intriguing list of titles. Thank you so much for sharing!!
