I echo that "NO!" I was just telling my students last Tuesday about my favorite American poet! What a loss!

Oh my, my, my!! I didn't know. Heard nothing on the news last night. I loved her poetry. I am in shock and in pain. Thank you for telling us.

In high school Lucille Clifton was one of the first Black female poet I discovered when I started to seek them out.

Even then I knew to proud. Clifton helped paved the way for other.

Later on I discovered her children's book.
