Celebrating Women's History Month

Alexandria, Louisana [Septermber, 1965] sixteen people sailed off with 22 plays. We slept in barns and fields, where we could. We played for room and board. The critics wrote that they didn’t know what we were writing about or what we were talking about, that we could not act, but they liked us. By my going, I’m told, we started the whole circuit of avante-garde.
